HUSSAIN TRADING AGENCIES (PVT.) LTD.
A cold chain is a temperature-controlled supply chain. An unbroken cold chain is an uninterrupted series of storage and distribution activities which maintain a given temperature range. It is used to help extend and ensure the shelf life of products such as fresh agricultural produce, seafood, frozen food, photographic film, chemicals and pharmaceutical drugs. Such products, during transport and when in transient storage, are called cool cargo. Unlike other goods or merchandise, cold chain goods are perishable and always enroute towards end use or destination, even when held temporarily in cold stores and hence commonly referred to as cargo during its entire logistics cycle.
Our clients have expressed need for clarity in order to achieve end-to-end supply chain visibility, especially in the last mile of this cold chain process. Therefore, in order to do so, HTAL have outlined a set of goals for its clients to reach to gain the clarity that it needs to strive for such a integrating supply chain management into a business strategy with organizational development and performance management.
We understand that one HTAL main challenges is to outline the safety risks associated with storage and distribution of food products, and increase communication and teamwork of the distributor with the manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer. We have dedicated a significant team to analyze the relationships in the supply chain in order to build consumers confidence in our clients products, and make for a seamless supply chain process.
In order to develop an efficient and effective solution, it first decided to train its manpower on reefer operations.
