Hussain Trading Agencies Private Ltd. (HTAL) was formed in 1983, even though it had been operating as a registered Partnership since 1977 under the name of “Hussain Brothers”.
HTAL started out as an In-house exclusive Freight Forwarder for the National Carrier “Pakistan National Shipping Corporation”, sheltering cargo for bulk and containerized shipments that mainly dealt with the shipment of agricultural products to Europe and far Eastern regions.
As HTAL successfully embarked on to various other line of works, it’s main endeavors remained within freight forwarding and logistics. Which included:
- In-house Exclusive Freight Forwarder for Pakistan National Shipping Corporation – 1977 till 1985
- Exclusive Freight Forwarder for Norasia and CMA Shipping lines in 1980’s.
- General Freight Forwarding – Sea & Air for both Imports and Exports. Having established as a freight forwarder, HTAL had the opportunity to build a strong relationship with importers and exporters of the country. We make sure to maintain these relationships with great contentment as it allows us to continuously generate business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics sectors.
- Bonded Transportation between Ports in Karachi and Upcountry cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot etc.
- HTAL Managed complete supply chain solutions to Animal Feed Exporters of Pakistan (100 % market Share), exporting to destinations in Europe and Far East for 20 years. On average, HTAL was handling yearly volume of about 150,000 metric tons.

- In late 80’s, HTAL became General Agent for Poland’s National Carrier “Polish Ocean Lines”. HTAL was responsible for their vessel handling as well as for sales and marketing to secure containerized cargo for both exports and imports.
Since it started operating, HTAL has aimed to remain prominent through its great ability and command over operations. In order to achieve that, it gave immense importance to training and expanding the capacity of its Human Resources, which has proven to be the key to its success along the years. This approach led to HTAL exploring niche markets where it could offer solutions that were not available in Pakistan.
Today, HTAL is operating in 4 of Pakistan’s major cities: Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Karachi, where its Head Office is located.
In February 2010, HTAL has also been registered as a vendor to the UNPD (United Nations Procurement Division.)
